SpaceX has a terrestrial transportation project which they want to develop it under its Hyperloop transportation services. SpaceX has opened it’s door to leading research institutes who are interested in high speed transportation and solution.

Teams from around the world are gathering at SpaceX to test their Pod design on a standard Hyperloop test track, which is 6 feet in outer diameter (1.83 m) and one mile in length (1600 m).
There are about 30 teams who will be attending this competition, including one from India.

Importance of Hyperloop
It is one of the many things that scientists have been trying to make, one of the closest design to Hyperloop is Maglev trains, the difference is Hyperloop is going to be much faster, and it’s going to revolutionize the way we travel. Imagine traveling a distance of 1100 KM in just one hour. If SpaceX succeeds in its ventures then without a doubt SpaceX is going to be a next big thing, maybe bigger than Oil Industry. Let’s just wait and watch.
